Travelling by car is very convenient in this part of Calgary. Parking is easy. In contrast, the public transit network in Parkland is rather limited. Nevertheless, there are a few bus lines crossing the neighbourhood, and most homes are very close to a bus stop. Even though there are a limited number of elevation changes, commuting by bicycle is difficult in this part of the city because. Many of the houses for sale in this area are located in places that are also not very well-suited for those who travel by foot because few daily needs can be met by walking.

In all but a few cases, a vehicle is needed to do groceries. Nevertheless, pharmacies are typically easy to get to on foot and provide some basic food items. With regards to education, parents and their kids will appreciate that no matter where their house is situated in Parkland, daycares and primary schools are nearby. However, there are no high schools in this part of the city.

Parkland offers a calm ambience and will appeal to those who enjoy spending time outdoors. Public green spaces are very well-situated and there are a few of them nearby for residents to check out, making it very easy to access them. This neighbourhood is also great for those who like quiet areas, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamour.
