The car is very often the preferred approach to get around in Hammond. It is very convenient to park, and nearby highways are quite easy to access from anywhere in this part of the city. In contrast, Hammond is not very transit friendly. Thankfully, there is the Maple Meadows Station on the Wce | West Coast Express. Residents benefit from a few bus lines, and bus stops are not very far away from most houses. It is also at times difficult to commute by bike in Hammond because the cycling network is not very comprehensive, and the area is not particularly flat.
