Transportation
Cars are an excellent means of transportation in this part of the municipality. It is very convenient to park, and the majority of houses for sale are a short car ride from the closest highway, such as Trans-Canada Highway. On the other hand, the public transit service in Chartwell is not very frequent. Thankfully, there are a few bus lines passing through the neighbourhood, and bus stops are not very far from most homes. Cycling is very difficult in Chartwell because cyclists are faced with a considerable amount of elevation changes, and there are very few bike lanes. Chartwell is also not very well-suited for walking as few daily needs can be met on foot.
Services
It is a reasonably short walk to get to both primary and secondary schools from most homes for sale in Chartwell. On the other hand, there are only a few daycares and therefore they can be a rather long walk away. When it comes to food, a vehicle is typically needed in Chartwell to access the nearest grocery store.
Character
Chartwell is a good neighbourhood to buy a home in for those who prefer a slower-paced ambience. The noise levels in this part of the municipality are low, as the streets are tranquil - although that is not the case near Trans-Canada Highway. Finally, it is very easy to access parks since there are about 20 of them close by for residents to unwind in.
