In contrast, commuting by transit can be difficult in Valley Park by reason of the low service level. It is inconvenient for pedestrians to navigate Valley Park as few day-to-day errands can be run without the use of a car. However, cycling is easy in this neighbourhood as there are a fair number of bike lanes.

It is convenient to reach the nearest supermarket by walking from anywhere in Valley Park. A limited number of restaurants and coffee shops can be found as well. In terms of education, parents and their children will appreciate that wherever their property is situated in Valley Park, primary schools and daycares are nearby. In contrast, there are no high schools in this neighbourhood.
Character
The character of Valley Park is exemplified by its calm environment. There are a few public green spaces nearby for residents to visit and they are very well-situated, making it very easy to get to them. This part of Hamilton is reasonably quiet overall, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamour - although that is not the case near Red Hill Valley Parkway.
