This neighbourhood provides house buyers with the choice between various means of transportation. With approximately 20 nearby bus lines, Downsview is transit friendly. It is also convenient for people walking to navigate Downsview; many daily needs can be carried out without needing to resort to a vehicle. Bicycling is challenging in this part of the city as there is a significant amount of elevation changes, and Downsview has a rather poor cycling infrastructure.

Families will find that wherever their house is located in this area, daycares and schools are close by. With respect to food, it is convenient to reach the closest grocery store by walking from any home in Downsview. In addition, this neighbourhood is a good place in which to eat out, and a limited variety of cafes can be found as well.
Character
Downsview offers a relaxed ambience and will appeal to home buyers who enjoy spending time in green spaces. The greenery in this area is quite prominent as there are many tree-lined streets. Most locations within the neighbourhood have reasonably good access to green spaces, including Mount Sinai Memorial Park and Giovanni Caboto Park, since there are about 20 of them close by for residents to check out and getting to the closest park is very easy from numerous properties for sale. This area is reasonably quiet overall, as the streets tend to be tranquil - however some areas can be quite loud, especially close to Highway 401 or Highway 400.
