Nearby highways, such as Autoroute Félix-Leclerc, are very easy to access from any home in this part of Kirkland, and it is very convenient to come across a parking spot. In contrast, the public transit network in this area is quite poor. Nevertheless, the neighbourhood is linked by a few bus lines, and bus stops are not very far away from most homes. Although it is an even ride to most locations, it is at times challenging to commute by bicycle in Timberlea because the cycling infrastructure is rather limited. Timberlea is also not very conducive to walking because daily errands are difficult to run on foot.
Services
There are no high schools and no primary schools in Timberlea. Likewise, parents and their children may find it very difficult to access daycares on foot. Concerning eating, doing one's groceries usually necessitates the use of a vehicle in this area.
Character
Timberlea offers a calm ambience and will appeal to home buyers who enjoy spending time in green spaces. Greenery is reasonably prominent in this part of Kirkland; there are a few parks nearby for residents to explore, which results in them being very easy to access from the majority of locations within this area. Residents will also find that the tree canopy coverage for the majority of streets is good. Most areas in this area are quiet, as there tend to be low levels of noise from traffic - although that is not the case closer to Autoroute Félix-Leclerc.
